Rules & Bylaws

Rule Highlights for a Safe and Fun Summer

  • You must have your pool pass to enter the pool.
  • All children who are not toilet trained must wear a diaper, plastic pants with snug fitting legs, and a swimsuit.
  • Keep the tennis courts locked at all times - even during play. Keys are not transferable. DO NOT lend your key to a non member. Key replacement cost is $10.
  • NO COMPETITIVE DIVING - No flips, back dives, inward gainers, reverse dives, etc.
  • Always shower as you leave the volleyball court. The sand is very special, expensive and undesirable in the pool.
  • Observe the speed limit in the parking lot - 10 mph.
  • Notify the pool manager at least one week in advance if you plan to have a group of guests (e.g. birthday parties). The date must be registered and confirmed and a reservation form and refundable security deposit must be submitted. No parties may be scheduled during a pool event.
  • Any group that has over 10 total attending must register and will be subject to guest fees for each attendant of the function (excluding members). These fees will apply to all attendants even if they are  classified as non - participating.
  • Minimum age rules are enforced - all children under nine and those under 10 who have not passed a swim and Club rules test must be accompanied by a person who is at least 13. ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY RESTS WITH THE PARENT!
  • Children 5 and under may play in the wading pool. CHILDREN IN THE FENCED BABY POOL AREA MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES!
  • The tennis/pickleball courts will only be used for tennis and pickleball.
  • No ROLLERBLADES, SKATEBOARDS, BIKES, ETC inside of the pool or tennis courts.

General Rules and Regulation


  1. All accidents and injuries that occur on Club grounds must be reported immediately to the club manager.
  2. The Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
  3. Each adult member shall be responsible for damage to Club property caused by such member and by all persons on the premises by his /her membership.
  4. Pets are not permitted anywhere on Club property. This includes leaving pets in cars.
  5. All automobiles shall be carefully parked in the Club parking lot unless otherwise directed, in an orderly manner to make maximum use of the available space and to ensure free ingress and egress for all other vehicles.
  6. Automobiles shall not be driven at a speed in excess of 10 mph on Club premises.
  7. No vehicles (including skateboards) are permitted on Club grounds except for the purpose of entering or leaving the Club. All bicycles shall be parked in the designated area.
  8. The Manager shall be incharge of all Club equipment and he/she will assign the use of such equipment in a manner equitable to the entire membership.
  9. Pedestrians and children on bicycles shall have the right away at all times.
  10. All motorized vehicles shall be confined to the designated driveways and parking areas.
  11. The Board of Trustees requests that no member reprimand an employee. All complaints regarding an employee should be submitted to the President in writing and signed by the member. The President shall submit a report of the complaint to the Board of Trustees with comments and/or solutions.
  12. All persons using the Club are strictly responsible for the proper disposal of their paper and debris in the containers provided.
  13. Foul or abusive language is prohibited.
  14. Any misconduct or infraction of these rules should be reported to the Club Manager.
  15. The Club ground shall close no later than 9:00 pm unless a later time is authorized by the Club Manager.



General Rules

Registration

Members may enter the Club by presenting their pass to the employee at the front desk. Members who can be verified as members and have forgotten their pass will be admitted as a guest of the club with a $1 refundable guest fee. This refund will be given the next time the pass is produced at the gate. If the pass cannot be found the fee will apply to the $5 card replacement fee. Members must register all guests by listing their name(s) and address(es) in the guest register at the front desk. Guests are the responsibility of the host member and must follow all club rules.

Swimming: General Area Rules

All persons using the pool do so at their own risk.

  1. All persons should shower before entering the pool.
  2. No food or cigarettes are permitted within three feet of the pool.
  3. Diving masks, suntan lotion bottles and similar articles must be of plastic or other non-breakable material.
  4. No running.
  5. No coins allowed in the pool.
  6. All children under nine years of age and those under 10 years of age who have not passed a swim and club rules test must be accompanied by a person who is at least 13 years of age. This person is responsible for the behavior and safety of the child. Lifeguards and other employees are not baby- sitters. Ultimate responsibility rests with the parents.
  7. All children who are not toilet trained must wear a diaper,plastic pants with snug fitting legs, and a swimsuit.
  8. The pool and pool area shall be open during the posted hours. The Club Manager at his/her discretion may extend pool hours and may close the pool for maintenance, health reasons, adverse weather conditions or any other reason he/she deems necessary.
  9. THe Club Manager or lifeguard can refuse admission or expel from the water anyone with skin abrasions, bandages, infections, inflamed eyes, cough, or colds. This rule may be waived by the Club Manager upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate that the person’s condition is neither contagious, dangerous or injurious to that person or others.
  10. Everyone except employees shall leave the facility within five minutes after the pool closes.

Swimming: Specific Area Rules

Diving Board

  1. One person on the board at a time.
  2. One bounce.
  3. No running.
  4. No back dives, back flips, inward gainers, etc.
  5. Must not wear goggles, flotation devices, or any other such matter.
  6. Must jump straight out from the board.
  7. Must swim immediately to the ladder.
  8. Must not go directly into the swim area.
  9. Must not enter the diving area from the swim area.
  10. The next diver must wait until the previous diver has touched the ladder before he/she can go.
  11. No catching  balls thrown from the side of the pool.
  12. The diving area may be closed, at the discretion of the lifeguards, for open swim. No one is permitted to go off the boards at this time.
  13. Children who cannot swim one lap of the pool may not seim in the diving area unless accompanied by an adult.

Entering the Pool

  1. Swimmers must dive straight out in designated diving areas or jump in feet first.
  2. Swimmers can not twist, jump in backwards, do cannonballs, fan backs, or run and jump and dive.
  3. Swimmers must not jump or dive in toward or at anyone.

Swim Lane

  1. The swim lane is for swimming laps only. Swimmers must swim on the right side of the lane when it is occupied by more than one swimmer.
  2. Do not hang on the lane line.
  3. No one is permitted to enter or leave the pool by going through the lane.

Adult Swim

  1. Adult swim will occur for 15 minutes every hour starting at q quarter to the hour (e.g. 12:45 - 1:00)
  2. Children must stay three feet from the edge of the pool during adult swim.
  3. One child, five years and younger, may accompany an adult in the pool during adult swim as long as the child remains in direct contact with the adult.
  4. Children five years old and younger may use the diving board during the adult swim if the supervising adult is in position in the water to assist the child.

Flotation Devices

  1. Regular-size rafts may be used except when the pool is crowded. The decision will be made by the Club Manager, Assistant Manager, or the guards in charge.
  2. NO RAFTS OR NOODLES of any kind are permitted in the baby pool, two-foot area or deep end. Small rings are permitted in the two-foot area.
  3. No exceptionally large rafts or solid flotation devices.
  4. Any child who must use a ring buoy or water wings must stay in the two-foot area unless accompanied by an adult.
  5. Floatation devices must be mounted in the water, not from the wall. No jumping or diving onto a flotation device from outside the pool.

Swimming Rules

  1. Must stay off head, neck, abd shoulders if dunking or playing.
  2. No chicken fights, standing on shoulders, etc.
  3. May not throw other swimmers (parents may throw children, but not flip them).
  4. May not jeopardize the safety or security of other swimmers.

Wading Pool Rules

  1. All children using the wading pool must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No lifeguard is on duty at the wading pool.
  2. The wading pool is for use for children age 5 and under only, with an adult present.

Tennis and Volleyball Area Rules

Tennis

  1. Appropriate tennis apparel is suggested. Non-marking rubber soled tennis shoes are required. Players must wear shirts at all times. Play is not allowed while wearing uncovered swimsuits.
  2. Spectators must remain outside the fence. Children under 10 years of age who are playing tennis must be accompanied by an adult member.
  3. No food, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, smoking, radios, childrens toys or roller blades will be permitted in the fence-in area. Area is for TENNIS ONLY.
  4. All persons using the facilities do so at their own risk. The Club is not responsible for accidents, personal injuries or damage to personal property.
  5. Hours are from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm seven days a week. Play is not permitted before 8:00 am Management reserves the right to close the courts at their discretion.
  6. Reserved play is available from May through September.
    1. One and one half hours is the maximum for both singles and doubles play on all courts when others are waiting.
    2. Players cannot reserve two or more consecutive periods by using another player's name in the same group.
    3. Courts can not be reserved three days in advance for one court time only.
    4. Reservations are held for 10 minutes past the appointed time. The courts will then be open for walk-on play. If you are unable to keep a reservation, please make every effort to remove your name from the sign up sheet.
    5. Members or their children who abuse the reservation privilege will hae the privilege suspended.
    6. Reserved playing time is available in accordance with the following schedule:

Junior Players (age 17 and younger)

8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday only. Juniors cannot

                         be bumped during this time. Juniors may not reserve courts on

evenings after 5:00 pm or on weekends and holidays.

Adult Players (age 18 or over)

8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, including weekends and holidays. 

Junior players may accompany adult players. If the adult 

member makes the reservation, the adult reserved playing

time schedule applies.

  1. Juniors may “walk-on” for play at ay time, but are subject to “bumping”

                by adults except during the 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

  1. KEEP GATES LOCKED AT ALL TIMES - EVEN WHILE PLAYING. Members MUST have their key with them to enter the courts Non-members may NOT play without a member in their group. Guests should register at the pool gate. Lending your key to a non-member may result in suspension of tennis privileges.
  2. Please do not adjust the nets. Contact the Club Manager if the nets need adjusting.
  3. Observe tennis etiquette. Return stray balls as soon as possible.DO NOT ENTER THE COURT WHILE BALLIS IN PLAY. For courts 2, 3 & 4, use side or rear entrances.
  4. Questions or rules should b e directed to the Club Manager or to members of the Tennis Committee.

Volleyball

  1. PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. All players using the facility do so at their own risk. The Club is not responsible for accidents, personal injury or damage to personal property.
  2. Court is for volleyball play only.
  3. You must rinse off when leaving the volleyball court.
  4. No hanging on the net.
  5. No climbing over the fence to retrieve a ball.
  6. No throwing sand.
  7. Sign out volleyball with a pool pass.
  8. Keep the gate closed when playing.
  9. Children under sic must be accompanied by an adult when playing.
  10. No food or drink on the volleyball court.
  11. Please do not adjust the net. Contact the Club Manager if the net needs adjusting.
  12. Reserved play is available from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm in half hour blacks. Maximum time is one half hour. Players cannot reserve two consecutive time blocks by using another player's name in the same group. Adults may “bump” juniors after 6:00 pm.
  13. Walk-on play is permitted at any time cout is not in use.
  14. The court may not be reserved during club events (e.g. swim meets, late night swims). Members may reserve the court for up to one hour during a birthday party.

Guests: Definitions, Privileges & Fees



Guest - Definitions

  1. Babysitter: A Person who is neither a minor dependent of a member nor a permanent resident of a member’s household and is 13 years of age or older.
  2. Local Guest: Any person who lives within a 10-mile radius of the Club.
  3. House Guest: Any person who is not a local guest and resides in the household of a member for more than seven consecutive days.
  4. Out-of-town Guest: A person who is not a local guest, or a house guest and who resides outside the 10-mile radius of the Club.

Guest Privileges

  1. Upon payment of the applicable fee, each member shall have unlimited use of the Club facilities for house guests and out-of-town guests.
  2. Upon payment of the applicable fee, a member family shall be allowed to bring local guests to the Club. The following rule applies: No local guest can use the Club facilities more often than six times during the calendar year, regardless of the identity of the host member.
  3. every guest must be accompanied at the Club by his/her host member. All guests shall be subject to the rules and regulations of the Club.
  4. The board of Trustees may make special arrangements for members who have unusual guest situations.
  5. No more than two tennis guests can play in a group at one time.
  6. If a membership consists of one adult (not married, widow, widower), the member shall be entitled to one guest at any time.

Guest Fees (All requests for guest passes, other than daily guests, must be submitted in writing to the Board of Trustees)

  1. Daily Guest Fee: The daily guest fee for any guest shall be $3 per person on weekdays and $5 per person on weekends. There is no charge for non-participating adult guests at the pool except those attending a scheduled group function.
    • Guest fee on Holidays shall be $10 (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
    • No coupons/promotions may be used in Holidays
    • Guests shall pay for special events that are open to non-members

  1. Any groups of 10 or more must register and will be subject to guest fees, regardless of participating or non-swimming participating.
  2. Weekly Rate for House or Out-of-town Guest: A weekly pass for house or out-of-town guests may be purchased at the rate of $20 per guest family. Such weekly passes shall entitle the guests to use the Club facilities for seven consecutive days.
  3. Season Rates for House Guest: Members may purchase a season pass for one house guest at the rate of $50 per guest. Such a pass shall entitle the house guest to use the Club facilities for the current season.
  4. Season Rate for Babysitter: Members may purchase a season pass for their babysitter(s) at the rate of $50 per family. Such a pass shall entitle the babysitter to use the Club facilities when accompanying a member’s child(ren). The babysitter pass may only be used when the member parents are not in attendance.
  5. Rate for house sitters is $20 per week.
